DIY Spa Day: Brightening, Natural At-Home Treatment for Tired Skin

August is the month of what we like to call endless summer skin – tired, dull, uneven, and lacking luster. Give yourself some tender love and care with this esthetician-recommended, natural DIY spa treatment for hydrated, glowing skin. There’s no better way to end the season.

Relaxation begins now!

Step 1: Calm – Find a comfortable seat. With eyes closed, inhale for a count of five and exhale for a count of 6. Repeat 3-5 times. You’ll be amazed at how quickly relaxation and stillness sets in. Make this breathing practice a part of your daily unwind to calm the nervous system whenever you’re feeling stressed. For an enhanced experience, apply a few strokes of Essential Hydrating Oil into hands and rub together to release fragrance of essential oils. Float hands over your nose and deeply inhale and exhale a few more times. Lavender Essential Oil in this blend works to calm the nervous system with its natural aromatic scent. It also happens to be an aphrodisiac!

Step 2: Cleanse – In a warm bath, steamy shower, or simply over your sink, begin cleanse with Ocean Cleanser by gently massaging it in soft circular motions over dampened skin.  Ocean Cleanser contains healing red algae which works to remineralize and hydrate stressed skin. Vegan Lactic Acid gently exfoliates to brighten and renew. Lime, Cypress, Juniper and Jasmine essential oils will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Rinse with warm water.

Step 3: Exfoliate Dispense ¾ tsp. Of Vitamin C Probiotic Polish into dry hands. Add a few drops of water and gently swirl with fingers until powder forms a creamy paste.
