How To Treat Your T-Zone in 4 Easy Steps

Taking care of combination skin can be tricky. You may have dry, sensitive skin in certain areas of your face like your cheeks and oily, blemish-prone skin in others, such as your chin, and under cheek area or t-zone.

Needless to say, it’s not a “one size fits all” scenario. Finding the perfect skincare regimen to balance, hydrate and improve the appearance of combination skin isn’t always easy. That’s why we are really loving tailor-made skincare regimens that incorporate multiple products to target the different areas of your face individually with techniques such as multi-masking.

Multi-masking is exactly what it sounds like: the simultaneous application of two different facial masks to different areas of your face to give each area, whether it be dry, sensitive, oily, or blemish-prone exactly what it needs! One of our absolute favorite natural, vegan, cruelty-free beauty heroes Rhian Hy aka WifeLife just released this awesome video on how to care for combination skin & covers everything from multi-masking to (our new favorite?) combo cleansing!

After all, why not give your skin everything it needs?!

Step 1: Combo-Cleanse

Apply Ocean Cleanser or Ocean Cleansing Milk to the drier areas of your face for gentle cleansing and hydration.

Apply Ocean Cleansing Mudd to your t-zone to help neutralize surface impurities and eliminate excess oil from the surface of your skin. You can also apply the Mudd before hopping in the shower for a steam-activated mini mask. Skin will be left feeling cool, clean & tingly.

Gently rinse your face with warm water and pat dry.

Step 2: Multi-Mask

Apply White Algae Mask to areas of dry, sensitive skin to enhance a dull, uneven complexion and deliver long-lasting hydration.

Apply Red Algae Mask to oily areas and/or your t-zone. The non-drying formula neutralizes surface impurities and eliminates excess oil while protecting the skin’s natural moisture barrier.

Leave both masks on for 10-20 minutes (as desired) and then rinse off with warm water.

Step 3: Spot-Treat

Gently pat your skin dry and then begin to spot treat any problem areas with this pure blend of botanical and essential oils. Essential Corrective Complex easily rolls on to help reduce the appearance of oily shine and blemishes. It’s loaded with Tea Tree, White Thyme and Juniper help to decongest pores on the surface of skin and leaves skin feeling purified.

Step 4: Moisturize

Choose either of our lightweight moisturizers as your finishing product: Atmosphere Protection Cream or Blemish Balm.
