This product is truly magic when it comes to clearing my acne, but like many other reviews, I favor the original formula. The new formula works great for my skin, but I can only use it every other day rather than as a daily moisturizer. I used the original formula twice daily as a lightweight, perfect moisturizer, however, when I continued this routine with the new formula, my face dried out and I had to start layering with oil to rehydrate the skin. This formula is a great product, and I don’t think I’d be as critical had I not lovingly used the original formula every day for years.

The original formula was finally the perfect moisturiser for me, for day and night, after serums or any treatments. The new formula is not suitable for a regular use and completely useless (in my opinion) there are already good salicyclic acid products everywhere but there was never such perfect moisturizer on the market. I’m 23 with acne prone / oily skin and it was the only product that I used regularly!! I’m upset…

I spent years looking for a product that helped with my painful cystic acne and when I came across the blemish balm, I gave it a shot and it WORKED and it became part of my daily routine. I was unaware of the formula change and re-upped my supply only to find that it looked different, smelled different, and applied like clay. I didn't want to judge too quickly though and so I've been using it, hoping the change would still work for me. It did not. My face became red, sensitive, and so dried out that it actually started to produce too much oil and then got really oily. The old formula used to make my skin really smooth, clean feeling, and foundation went great on top of it, but because of the new clay-like consistency, foundation layers super patchy and my face texture is really pocked and rough looking. I DO NOT RECCOMEND in the slightest.

I absolutely hated the new formula at first, however after a few months of sticking with it I have ordered my second bottle. Honestly maybe it's because I've just forgotten how amazing the original was lol, but this is working for me and not against me...although the original definitely was top tier.

I understand the need for a combination treatment moisturizer, but this new formula doesn’t agree with my skin. It leaves me too greasy for day-time use so I have only been using at night and am now going to have to look elsewhere for a lightweight day option. Not sure why the formula needed to be replaced entirely - please bring back the original as an option!!

Loved the old formula so much. The new formula smells really bad and I’m breaking out again. Why mess with a perfect product and ruin it?!

I have been using this blemish balm for a while. My skin is very acne prone and this is gentle yet still very moisturizing. I also use the ocean cleanser and mud, toner and hyaluronic acid before applying the blemish balm. It doesn't irritate my skin. As with all my OSEA products, I love the light scent!

I’m fortunate to have clear skin with the occasional breakout. However when a breakout occurs or I start to feel a breakout coming, I use this balm and WOW! My breakout is heavily reduced and/or completely gone. Great stuff! Highly recommend for anyone looking for clear, smooth skin.
