We’ll be the first to admit: there are very few things that make us happier than starting the day with a matcha latte. Matcha is known for its powerful health benefits, as it’s packed with antioxidants and chlorophyll. Add in its gentle caffeine boost, which increases focus and delivers sustained energy without the typical crash (thanks to the amino acid L-theanine), and it’s the perfect morning pick-me-up. Whenever we’re in New York City, a visit to our friends at Matchaful is an essential part of our wellness routine. Not only do they serve incredible matchas with homemade plant-based milks, but they also source their single-origin matcha from a sustainably operated, family farm in Japan, so you know it’s the real deal.
To celebrate the launch of our new Dream Night Serum with Bio-Retinol, we teamed up with our friends at Matchaful to create a matcha collaboration called Lavender Dream. This glow-boosting matcha blends sweet, subtle floral notes of lavender with spirulina (blue-green algae) powder and, of course, Matchaful’s Kiwami Super Ceremonial matcha. It’s topped with silky lavender foam made with almond milk. Smooth and creamy, every sip delivers a delicious blend of floral lavender with a touch of sweetness for an uplifting treat. Our co-branded limited edition drink is available at all Matchaful locations until June 2, 2025. If you didn’t get a chance to try it in-store, here’s how to recreate it at home.
Ingredients:
• 1 tsp Matchaful Kiwami ceremonial-grade matcha
• 1/4 cup hot water (180°F)
• 1/2 cup steamed lavender-infused almond milk
• 1 tbsp dried lavender
• Sweetener of choice (optional): agave nectar or maple syrup work well!
• 1 tsp each red beet powder and blue spirulina (optional, for color)
Directions:
1. Whisk matcha with hot water until frothy.
2. Add sweetener, if desired.
3. To infuse almond milk with lavender, steep dried lavender in warm almond milk for 5–10 minutes, then strain
4. To create the lavender color, add optional tsp of red beet powder and blue spirulina to the almond milk and mix
5. Pour steamed lavender-infused almond milk over matcha.
Optional: cool the almond milk and pour the drink over ice for an iced matcha!
