Our skincare products are made with naturally derived ingredients to provide the best benefits for your skin. Advanced Protection Cream is fragrance free meaning there is no fragrance or essential oils added. However, one may detect a scent from some of the naturally derived ingredients in this formula.
One’s olfactory receptors (or sense of smell) differ from person to person so it is hard to describe what you might smell in a fragrance-free formula, but it could best be described as a bit “earthy” or “medicinal”. Please note the scent does not affect the product’s quality or efficacy.
It’s a rich, luxurious cream.
Advanced Protection Cream leaves skin deeply moisturized and nourished without leaving a heavy or greasy residue.
Bidens Pilosa Extract is a Bio Retinol that activates the same receptor in your skin as retinol, providing retinol-like benefits without the associated irritation.
There is no need to start slowly or avoid specific ingredients (for example: AHAs or BHAs) like you would with other retinol products.

I love Osea products but when I purchased this without sampling first, I thought maybe my container had been cracked or moisture had seeped in because it smelled only of mildew. I took it back to the store where I purchased the item and indeed, their sample also smelled like mildew. Bummer because I really liked the weight and glow.

I am in love. Most face creams are too light and I have SUCH dry skin. This cream is so moisturizing and I absolutely love that it has bio-retinol (all the benefits without any of the side effects 👏)

This product is a nice consistency and has worked very well on my skin so far. I’ve been using it for about 4 weeks and my skin feels great, although I’m unsure if I notice any difference with fine lines. My hope is that it’s helping to prevent new ones.
The smell is a bit off putting to me. It’s the only product that I have from Osea that I feel that way about.

My skin feels hydrated, the product absorbs well and I value that it is a vegan, cruelty free, clean product. Besides been born in California where I know they are very strict with ingredients.

This moisturizer does the job, I have extremely dry skin and I wake up with silky smooth skin. BUT the smell is awful. It took me a few days to nail it down but then it hit me, dirty socks. It sure packs a punch for an “unscented” cream. I am currently following it up with the essential hydrating oil which adds a pleasant scent to my face before bed. Will see if that helps enough for long term because I do truly enjoy the cream itself.
